About NECIC

Since 2005, a number of NGOs have collaborated, with support from UNICEF, and related government Ministries such as the Department of Social Welfare, Ministry of Women, Family & Social Development; Special Education Department, Ministry of Education; Division of Family Health Development, Ministry of Health - to host national level Conferences on Early Childhood Intervention. Our efforts began with a Symposium in August 2005 in Shah Alam, followed by the 1st NECIC in Penang (Nov 2006), and the most recent being the 2nd NECIC in Kota Kinabalu in Nov 2008. Malacca has been given the privilege of hosting the 3rd NECIC 2010.
